DEVOTIONAL BY CREFLO DOLLAR

“Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass” (Deuteronomy 32:1, 2).
Listening to God’s voice when He speaks to us brings life-saving sustenance, similar to the rain bringing life to the trees, plants, and flowers. But unlike ordinary rain, His Word brings eternal life.

THE ANTIDOTE TO FEAR

04
Mar
1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear…
Experts tell us that babies have two natural fears: the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. A study on fear was conducted on 500 adults of varying ages, backgrounds and lifestyles. The results showed that they shared some 7,000 different fears. This means that they must have learnt 6,998 fears since they were born. That is a lot of fears!

Actually, our bodies are designed for faith. Fear was foreign to man until Adam sinned against God. For the first time, Adam knew fear, and he hid from God and said, “I heard Your voice…I was afraid…I hid myself.” (Genesis 3:10)

Since then, man has been living in the realm of fear—fear of the future, fear of what others might say, fear of diseases, fear of flying…Actually, every fear is born out of the feeling of being cut off from God. If you think that God is still mad at you, that He is out to punish you, how can you have faith that everything will be all right? How can you have faith for your miracle?

But I have good news for you. There is a sure antidote to fear. The apostle John says that “perfect love casts out fear”. When you know that God so loves you that He gave His Son to take your beating so that you can take His blessings, you will stop fearing.

God so loves you that at the cross, Jesus was rejected so that you could become God’s beloved. It was not the nails that kept Jesus on the cross. It was His love for you. And if God did not withhold Jesus, why do you think that He will withhold healing, finances or a blessed marriage from you? (Romans 8:32)

Today, when you hear His voice, you will hear Him say, “You are My beloved child, in you I am well pleased.” And you don’t have to hide but you can run to Him without fear because He is not out to punish you. He is out to protect and provide for you, so fear not!

Thought For The Day
Run to God without fear because He is not out to punish you, but to protect and provide for you.

GOODNEWS DEVOTIONAL: JESUS IS ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP || SATURDAY, MARCH 4, 2017

JESUS IS ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP
TEXT: Luke 5:13
And he put forth [his] hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him (KJV).
Jesus is never tired of any of His children neither is He tired of their circumstances. The scripture says “Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep” (Psalm 121:4). There is none that ever come to Jesus for help in the bible that Jesus said “I have helped you before, I cannot help you again”. Jesus is always willing to help but the devil wants us to believe that God is not willing or ready to help. In the book of Psalm, chapter 46, verse 1, the bible says “God is our refuge and strength a very present help in trouble”. In other words, before trouble comes, God is already present and willing to help. In Matthew 14:22-27, the bible says “And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone. But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, it is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid (KJV). Even in the midst of the sea, Jesus was there for his people to offer help. Jesus is always ready to help. The preceding verse to our text for today says “And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on [his] face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean (KJV Luke 5:12. This man had serious problem and he thought that his problem was too much for Jesus to handle. He also thought that Jesus might not be willing to help, but Jesus responded I will: be thou clean … (KJV). There is no situation we find ourselves that our saviour is not willing to help. We only need to give him a chance to help by coming to Him in Spirit and truth, believing in His word and doing whatever He asks us to do. Jesus is not tired of your situation and He is willing to help. Can you ask him to come and help you now?
CONFESSION
Father, I believe you are willing to help me, therefore, I ask that you help me today in the name of Jesus.

Self-Control by Joyce Meyer – posted March 04, 2017

And in [exercising] knowledge [develop] self-control, and in [exercising] self-control [develop] steadfastness (patience, endurance), and in [exercising] steadfastness [develop] godliness (piety).
—2 Peter 1:6

As believers in Jesus Christ, God has given us a new nature, but at the same time, we also have to deal with the old nature. When we allow the old nature to rule, we will follow our feelings instead of operating in self-control. Self-control is a fruit of our new nature, and all we need to do is develop it. We can develop self-control by using it, just as we can develop muscles by using them.

Exercising self-control is a form of freedom. You don’t have to do what you feel like doing. You’re free to do what you know is wise. Discipline and self-control will help you be the person you want to be. Don’t ever say, “I just don’t have any self-control,” because the truth is that you do have it, but it needs to be exercised in order to be strong.

Power Thought: I exercise self-control.

Let the Revelations Begin Kenneth Copeland

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

1 Timothy 2:3-4

People go to great lengths trying to wring knowledge from God when all they need to do is go to the Bible. God’s not holding Himself back from anyone. It’s His will for every man and woman to walk in revelation of Him.

“Well now, Brother Copeland,” you might say, “God’s not going to give all these sinners out here a revelation.” Really? Why do you think He sends evangelists to preach to them? Why do you think He sent His Word? To reveal the truth!

So, if you want to know that truth, just open the Book and read it. All of it…not just the parts that are in red. Those aren’t the only parts Jesus said. He said everything in Genesis. He said everything in Exodus. He said everything in Numbers. He said everything in Deuteronomy. He said everything in Leviticus. He said everything in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. He said everything in Romans. He said everything in the Book. He is the Word!

In fact, if you’ll read Galatians 3, you’ll discover that every promise made to Abraham was for Jesus! It was the promises that brought Him. It was the promises that enabled Him to heal and deliver people. He didn’t minister by some special power no one else could have. He based His ministry on the revelations He’d received through faith in the written Word of God.

When the devil came to tempt Him, He didn’t fight him off with a special legion of angels who’d been assigned to protect Him because He was God’s Son. He fought him off with the phrase, “It is written.”

God has equipped you to do the same. He’s given you His written Word, and He’s given you His Holy Spirit to help you understand it. He’s more than ready to give you the knowledge you need. You don’t have to wring it out of Him—just open the Book and let the revelations begin.

THE TRUE PICTURE IS IN THE SCRIPTURE
TEXT: James 1:25
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. (KJV)
Do not permit men to describe life to you, because everyone would tell you what life is from their personal experiences and perspectives. For instance, some people would tell you marriage is evil because of their bitter experiences; others may tell you that pulpit ministry or personal business is deadly because of their personal experiences.
Do not allow anyone to describe life to you, do not receive everything people say to you about life and situation as correct because no human being can be hundred percent correct, the only source of correct information about your life and situation is the word of God. The true picture is in the scripture. I Corinthians 13:9 says “For we know in part, and we prophesy in part”. Every man, woman, Pastor, Prophet, Evangelist, Daddy and Mummy knows in part, so, they can only talk in part. The word of God is what has the final and balance say about your life and situation.
Some would tell you that life is hard, women are evil, men are terrible, all these are from man’s perspective, the true picture is in the scripture. Our text today says But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.(KJV). You cannot miss it when you take your picture from the scripture. For instance, if you are born again, the word of God says you are not cursed but blessed (Galatians 3:13), you are not alone, Jesus is with you (Matthew 28:20), you are not weak but you are strong (Joel 3:10), there is no failure in your future (Jeremiah 29:11), nothing is wrong with you (Colossians 2:10). No man, no Pastor, or Prophet can tell you everything about your life, it’s only God that can do and He has put your right picture in the scripture, all you need to do is to open it, read it, claim it, act it and it shall be yours in Jesus name.
CONFESSION
Father, I want to thank you because I am what your word says I am. What I have is a great future not a failed future. There is no failure in my future in Jesus name.
