ONLY HIS NAME

Memorise: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; Philippians 2:10

Read: Philippians 2:9-11; Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and
given him a name which is above every name:

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Bible in one year: Leviticus 19:19-20:27; 1st Corinthians 12:12-31

MESSAGE!

The desire and plan of God is for all His children to be deliverance ministers (Mark 16:17). He wants us to exercise His dominion on earth, so that if demons are obstructing the lives, destinies and progress of anybody, when they meet anyone of us, they would be freed. However, only very few believers are actively doing this. Any believer who wants to walk in the reality of the plan of God concerning casting out demons must have the knowledge of some basic truths. First and foremost, they must have an intimate knowledge of the Great Deliverer – the Lord Jesus Christ. The closer you move to Jesus and know Him, the more grace you will derive from Him to cast out devils, heal the sick raise the dead, and more. (Daniel 11:32).

What are the things you need to know about Jesus? You need to know the power in His Name. Our Bible reading teaches that Jesus Christ has a Name to which everything and everyone must bow. Some ministers have fallen into error because they have gained so much popularity and have tasted the anointing of the Holy Ghost. Because they have been used of God several times to perform miracles, they are now close to casting out devils in their own names! We are told to command demons to go in the Name of Jesus and not by any other name. if you ever use your name, you will get into trouble with God and with demons. If you are now using your name to cast out demons, you are becoming another Jesus and preaching another gospel. Know that this act carries a curse (Galatians 1:9). Even Paul, with all his anointing and experiences of the supernatural, continued to cast out demons in the Name of Jesus Christ (Acts 16:16-18). A man attended a program one day and instead of being delivered, his problem was compounded. He was loaded with demons, so much so that he could not stand, sit or walk: he just lay down. When he was brought to us, I commanded him to kneel for prayers, but he said he could not. I commanded him again, and he asked me, “In whose name? I said “In the Name of Jesus.” He answered, “Oh, that one is different”, and he complied. After prayers, I said to him “Stand up and go home.” But he replied that he could not stand. So I commanded him again to obey. He then asked “In whose name?” I replied “In the Name of Jesus.” He said again, “That one is different”, and he stood up. Then I commanded him to go home, take his bath and be normal again. Once again he asked “In whose name?” I said “In the Name of Jesus.” He answered once more” That one is different”, and he obeyed. Praise God for the power in the Name of Jesus!

Some ministers are gradually moving the shine away from Jesus to themselves, thereby treading on every dangerous ground. Be warned

The Lord Is Able And Most Willing

Matthew 8:3

Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

When you see someone receiving a miraculous healing or financial breakthrough, do you ask, “What about me, Lord?” I believe that the leper who came to Jesus must have asked the same question.

He must have heard or seen from a distance, since he was not permitted to be in public places by the law, how Jesus had healed the sick. So he had no doubt that Jesus could heal him, but he was not sure if Jesus would. He said to Jesus, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” (Matthew 8:2) He was confident of the power of God, but not the love of God for him.

Like the leper, maybe you don’t have a problem believing that God can give you your miracle, since He is Almighty God. But you are wondering if He will do it for you. My friend, let Jesus’ actions and answer to the leper settle this question once and for all. He stretched forth His hand, touched the leper and said, “I am willing; be cleansed.” And immediately, the leper was healed.

I want you to notice that Jesus touched the leper. He could have healed him from a distance with just a spoken word. He had healed others this way as in the case of the centurion’s servant and the Syro-Phoenician woman’s daughter. So why did He touch the leper?

Jesus knew that for so many years, the leper had been cut off from his family and society, so he must have been feeling dehumanized. I believe that Jesus touched him to make him feel human again, to make him feel loved and accepted again. His touch was His love language to the leper.

Can you see God’s heart of love here? Can you see how much He loved the leper? That is how much He loves you! The day that you come to know God’s heart of love and believe that He wants you blessed more than you want to be blessed is the day that you receive your miracle!

Beloved, catch a glimpse of God’s heart of love, and you will believe that He is not only able, but also willing to make you whole!

Thought For The Day

God is not only able, but also willing to make you whole!

Keep God’s Secrets

by Joyce Meyer – posted September 29, 2015

But when you pray, go into your [most] private room, and, closing the door, pray to your Father, Who is in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open.
– Matthew 6:6

I have come to realize over the years in my experience with God that we are not very good at keeping things secret that should be kept secret. The verse for today indicates that what we pray about is between us and God and does not need to be done as a display for others. We want to hear from God, yet the moment we feel that He does tell us anything, we cannot wait to tell others what He has said. Perhaps that is all right at times, but there are also times when things between us and God need to be kept secret.

When Joseph had a dream that his father and brothers would someday bow down to him, perhaps it was childish foolishness that prompted him to tell them about it. Perhaps it was that very foolishness that God had to work out of Joseph before He could trust him with the responsibility He had in mind. Very often our unwillingness to keep secrets is a symptom of immaturity. I think we might well see more of God’s rewards manifested in our lives, as the verse for today says, if we could learn to discern the difference between what to tell and what to keep secret.

God will reveal more to us if He can trust us. Let us learn to hold things in our heart until God gives us permission to release them.

“It is not a sacrifice to give up things of lesser importance for those of greater value. In fact it’s a bargain”. Benjamin Stein In December 1936, King Edward The Eighth created a crisis of seismic proportions for the United Kingdom and the British Commonwealth of which he was head, when , in direct contravention of the advice of the Government of Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin and the vehement opposition of the Church, he chose to marry the twice divorced American gold digger Wallis Simpson. In defense of the constitution of the realm and to preserve the integrity of the Church of which he was also the nominal head, the lords temporal and spiritual asked the King to choose between the throne and the woman. To the bewilderment of nobles and plebeians, citizens and subjects the world over, the King chose the woman and renounced his throne! The Instrument of Abdication signed by King Edward VIII in the presence of his three brothers read thus: “I, Edward The Eighth, of Great Britain, Ireland, and the British Dominions beyond the Seas, King, Emperor of India, do hereby declare My irrevocable determination to renounce the throne for Myself and for My Descendants and My desire that effect should be given to this instrument of abdication immediately”. With these words Edward VIII left his throne and all the trappings associated with it for the sake of a woman, who’s known other lovers included a car mechanic and most notably, Joachim Von Ribbentrop, Adolf Hitler’s Ambassador to the court of St. James’s. It was widely reported at the time that the Ambassador sent her seventeen carnations daily, one representing each time they had slept together. Yet for the sake of this woman, the King of arguably the greatest empire the world had ever known; an empire on which the sun never set, encompassing more than half of the world’s population. – I say for the sake of this woman – the king abdicated his throne! Why would a man do this? Why would a man sacrifice his throne for the love of a woman of questionable virtue? Two thousand nine hundred and forty years before Edward VIII was Prince Amnon. He was the heir apparent to the throne of David, being King David’s first son (2Sam 3:2). Presented with a stark choice between an incestuous desire for his sister Tamar and the throne, Prince Amnon damned the latter and ravished his sister. He paid the price for his debauchery and hubris with his life. Generations after would have had to mention King Amnon the same way they talk about King David or King Solomon. Yet, for a moment of pleasure he lost the throne as well as his life. Again, why would a man do this to himself? The answer is choice. A Yoruba proverb says “the reason why two men don’t pool their resources together to marry a woman is because of differences in taste”. For Edward VIII, Wallis Simpson had a higher attraction than the throne of Great Britain; just like a momentary sexual bravado and debauchery had higher attraction for Amnon than the throne of Israel; and just like a pot of porridge was more valuable to Esau than his inheritance in destiny. But who are we to question the choices of these individuals? I got something wrong, though. King Edward VIII did not sacrifice his throne; he bargained it ; just like Amnon did almost three thousand years earlier; just like Esau did a few millennial earlier, and just like many will do this weekend in the name of St. Valentine Day, a day historically meant to celebrate wedded love, but now almost entirely devoted to consummate wanton lust. This weekend without counting the cost many will bargain away their destinies for a little pot of porridge. So, then, what’s the difference between a sacrifice and a bargain? It is that, whereas, a sacrifice is anything you give up willingly without expecting a return, a bargain is what you give up for the sake of another which ranks higher in your scale of relative preference. All of life is a bargain. Even the things we call sacrifices are actually bargains in disguise. We choose things which in our estimation are to be preferred above others. A man’s life is a combination of the choices he makes. This brings us to the concept of opportunity cost, which is the cost of something in terms of the most valuable forgone alternative. For King Edward VIII the throne of Great Britain was an opportunity cost. For Esau his generational inheritance was an opportunity cost. For many hapless souls, in this crazed season, their destinies will be the opportunity cost. Fools all through the ages have always chosen momentary gratification above an abiding and unending weight of glory. Much later, though, they seek with tears that which they had lightly esteemed. But it’s always too late. Someone rightly said, “He is no fool who loses what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose”. Sad St. Valentine’s Day awaits anyone who is aiming to celebrate and glamorize a hurtful lust. This is not a curse, but a statement of fact, supported by observed happenings in the recent past. Happy St. Valetine’s Day. Anyway. Bode Kayode Maxwell

Our Help In Time Of Need Sep 28, 2015

Our Help In Time Of Need

If you are facing a challenge right now, I want you to know that you have a standing invitation from your heavenly Father to come boldly to the throne of grace to “obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need”.

The phrase “help in time of need” means that you get healing when you are sick, provisions when you are in lack, restoration when your relationship with a loved one breaks down, and favor when news of job cuts or bad prospects are rife.

“Pastor Prince, how can I come boldly when I have been a lousy Christian?”

You can come boldly because you come to God by the blood of Jesus Christ and not by how you have lived your life. So whenever you come into God’s presence, you don’t have to be afraid that your sins will be exposed because the blood of Jesus has removed every one of them. God does not see even one speck of sin in you because He sees only the blood of His Son, which has been shed for your total forgiveness and acceptance.

My friend, when you have failed and need mercy, God’s Word assures you that you will find mercy when you come boldly to God. Mercy means that you don’t get the bad things you deserve, such as condemnation, poverty, failure, loss and even death.

And mercy is not the only thing that you will obtain when you come boldly to God. You will also find grace. Grace means that you get the good things that you don’t deserve, such as health, protection, anointing, favor, good success and life more abundant.

So come boldly to the One who loves you passionately, unconditionally and with an undying love. Come boldly to Him who knows everything about your situation and has the solution. He has wisdom far beyond that doctor you highly respect, that lawyer you greatly honor and the best experts you can consult. Beloved, come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and grace to help in your time of need!

Thought For The Day

Come boldly to God who knows everything about your situation and has the solution.
